Beta Terms of Use

1. What the Beta Is

Angel is an early, experimental product that helps you find the primary source behind a claim you highlight or type. It is not a fact-checker and does not certify that a claim is true or false — it attempts to locate the original document a claim traces back to. Results are generated with AI models and can be wrong even when they look confident.

2. No Warranty; Accuracy Disclaimer

Angel is provided "as is," in active development, and may return incorrect, incomplete, or outdated results. You are solely responsible for independently verifying any source, quote, or statistic before relying on it or publishing it. Do not use Angel as your sole verification step for any claim, especially in published journalism. We make no warranty, express or implied, as to the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any result.

3. Beta Status

• The Service may change, break, or be discontinued at any time without notice.
• Features, accuracy, and performance are not representative of any future commercial release.
• We may reset your data, account, or history during the Beta as the product evolves.
• We may end your access to the Beta at any time, for any reason.

4. Your Account and Conduct

• You must be at least 16 years old.
• You must provide accurate account information and keep your login credentials secure.
• You will not use Angel to process content you do not have the right to submit, or in a way that violates applicable law.
• You will not attempt to abuse, overload, or reverse-engineer the Service.

5. Your Content

You retain ownership of any claim text or content you submit. By submitting it, you grant us a license to process it (including via the third-party providers described in the Privacy Policy) solely to provide and improve the Service. If you use the public-share feature, you are responsible for what you choose to make publicly accessible. Angel is not a confidential channel: authorised Angel staff can read searches and results, and the text is passed to the providers named in the Privacy Policy, so do not submit unpublished material or anything that could identify a confidential source.

6. Feedback

If you send us feedback, bug reports, or suggestions about the Beta, you grant us an unrestricted, royalty-free right to use that feedback to improve Angel, without any obligation to compensate or credit you.

7. Data Use for Product Improvement

During the Beta, we may review analysis records (including claim text and results) to debug issues, evaluate accuracy, and improve the Service. See the Privacy Policy for what is collected and how it is stored.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service — including damages resulting from inaccurate or incomplete analysis results. This limitation applies whether the claim arises in contract, tort, or otherwise. Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for intent or gross negligence, or any liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account in Settings or by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time during the Beta.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as the Beta evolves. We will ask you to accept material changes in the app, and you can stop using the Service if you do not agree.
