Our story
Angel started while Sami was writing his thesis. LLMs could produce answers fast, but there was no quick way to get back to the source behind a figure. He looked for a tool that did this well, couldn't find one, and set out to build it himself.
The first version was a consumer product. But while looking for the people who felt this problem the most, it became clear that journalists were under the most pressure to get it right, fast, and with a source they could stand behind. Angel is now precise search for Finnish public data, built for them: the exact number or passage, quoted from the source, with the link.
We're a small team based in Finland, building Angel for journalists and researchers who need the exact figure or passage, fast, with a source they can stand behind.
